"National Art Fund 2018 City Night Image Planning and Design Talent Training Project Tracking Investigation" was conducted in Guangzhou Squander

May 7, 2019, sponsored by the National Arts Fund, sponsored by the Communication University of China, hosted by the School of Film and Television, Communication University of China, and the Joint Research Center of Light Environment Design and Application of the Communication University of China, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Central Academy of Drama, Central The Academy of Fine Arts and China Academy of Traditional Opera as the academic support units of the National Art Fund's 2018 city night image design talent training project follow-up inspection was successfully carried out in Guangzhou Squande Lighting Co., Ltd.

Communication University of China is the first university in China to offer an undergraduate major in light environment design. The Joint Research Center for Light Environment Design and Application is its integrated platform for manufacturing, research, and research in the lighting design of urban, architectural landscape, and cultural tourism projects. This project gives full play to the sponsor's teaching and scientific research advantages, and carefully builds a fine curriculum system. From a new perspective of city night image, it focuses on the core of related fields such as urban brand marketing, urban planning, urban landscape design, urban nightscape lighting, and urban nightlife formats. The concept and design requirements are integrated into a systematic curriculum system to help students fully understand the importance of city night image planning, design, basic concepts, steps and methods, and comprehensively improve the level of management, planning, and design of city night images for the country. The improvement of the city's image fosters high-level personnel. The project selects influential experts and scholars at home and abroad to teach, adopts advanced teaching concepts and teaching methods, and highlights the more practical characteristics of combining theory and practice.

This project completed the centralized training in two stages. In the first stage, the theoretical teaching part was completed; in the second half of the second stage, design thinking training was carried out; in the second half, the practical training of the design workshop was completed. In the later stage, activities such as project tracking, communication, and interviews were arranged for the students' units.

Professor Zhang Lin, director of the Department of Environmental Design, School of Drama, Film and Television, Communication University of China, director of the Joint Research Center for Light Environment Design and Application, deputy director of the Lighting Professional Committee of the Chinese Academy of Stage Arts, teacher of the Chinese Academy of Drama, Sun Xiao, Ph.D. , Xu Hantian, Master of Scenario Design and Communication, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences, Germany, participated in the follow-up and inspection of the later talent training project. Ma Limin, chairman of Guangzhou Squande, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. General Manager Fu Xueping, Project Director/Senior Engineer Lai Feng (National Art Fund 2018 City Night Image Design Talent Training Students) participated in the project exchanges, and highly praised and affirmed the work of the National Art Fund Project Tracking Expert Group.

On May 8, 2019, the project expert team inspected the ongoing Taikoo Cang Wharf project. It is reported that the project aims to create a Guangzhou "urban living room" that integrates cultural creativity, exhibition trade, sightseeing, leisure and entertainment functions. The project expert group provided valuable opinions on the diversity and open development of the Taikoo Cang project, and also exchanged ideas on how to combine light and culture to design creative and intrinsic lighting design works to add elegance to the "urban living room" Evening dress.
